"People learn English over other languages because it is the global lingua franca, essential for international communication, business, education, and travel."

The world has become a global village with people from different countries living in proximity to each other. In this global village, all the languages belong to individual villages. However, English is the common language for communication between villages. In fact, every language in the world is spoken and understood in some way or another. ‘What seems to be happening is that those people who were once colonized by the language are now rapidly remaking it, domesticating it, becoming more and more relaxed about the way they use it – assisted by the English language’s enormous flexibility and size, they are carving out large territories for themselves within its frontiers.’ Salman Rushdie, Imaginary Homelands (Granta Books 1992)
Most schools and colleges in most countries teach English as a compulsory language. This is because the world is becoming increasingly globalized, and English is the common language for communication. People from different countries learn English so they can communicate without errors or misinterpretations. People also learn English so they can read news from other countries and have access to a wide range of knowledge. Many people prefer to learn English because of the ease of acquiring the language.
In addition, many people have studied English at some level of proficiency. This is because learning English becomes easier with time and practice. People prefer to learn English because it's easier compared to other languages such as Chinese or Russian. Learning a new language has many benefits and can be fun as well.
An international school is an educational institution that offers education for young children from around the world, primarily, but not exclusively, from English-speaking countries. International schools are located all over the world; there are around 400 international schools in North America alone. These schools provide an environment for young children from different countries to learn about each other and their cultures. Students from different countries study together in class and form friendships that last throughout their entire lives. Students at international schools can become fluent in several foreign languages thanks to regular lessons outside of school hours. International schools encourage students to learn a new language by making them study English as well as their native tongue. This attitude towards learning a new language makes it easy for people to adopt it as their preferred language of study. Students can easily engage in their favorite hobbies while simultaneously improving their linguistic capabilities at the same time.
The world has become a global village with people from different countries living in proximity to each other - primarily in North America, Europe, and Asia, respectively. Each village has its own culture, customs, traditions, and languages that have been passed down through generations within particular borders or ethnic groups within specific countries or regions. However, English is the common language for communication between villages - primarily between nations - especially when worldwide communication is facilitated by technology such as the Internet and SMS applications. Apart from being an international school, an international village needs to be an inclusive environment where people can freely express themselves regardless of which national identity they possess - whether they hail from England, India, or any other nation on earth!
A true single market in knowledge and ideas is now possible thanks to the fact that English is spoken by one-fourth of the world's population. English today mostly belongs to the world rather than to any one country because there are more non-native speakers than native ones.
English language learning is increasingly a global norm, a basic skill, with the young learner segment of the market rising as English is more widely taught at primary and secondary schools in non-English speaking countries. The growth of English language is projected to continue and is driven by the intensified use of English worldwide for business, education, and leisure purposes. English is also the language of education, with many universities around the world teaching courses in English. Knowledge of English can, therefore, provide access to higher education and academic opportunities. Many popular TV shows, movies, and music are in English. Learning English allows people to enjoy and understand these forms of entertainment in their original language, without the need for translation.
